It usually takes a minimum of three months to change a health behavior and to create a new one that can become self-sustaining. Three months is the minimum amount of time to experience the impact of health coaching and to see tangible results.
Six months or longer may be better for clients with significant challenges – for example, smoking cessation, significant weight loss or dealing with a chronic condition – or for clients who have been unable to sustain positive health behaviors.
